CompuNet Achieves Cisco Master Security Specialization
Meridian, ID, February 23, 2017 – CompuNet, a leading IT solutions provider, today announced that it has achieved the Cisco® Master Security Specialization in the US. This is the highest level of Cisco security expertise. This level of specialization distinguishes channel partners with Highest Level of Security Expertise, Lifecycle Services and Success in Sales.
To achieve the Master Security Specialization, CompuNet first attained the Cisco Advanced Security Architecture Specialization. Partners must then meet a series of stringent requirements in three categories: technology capabilities, sales expertise and Cisco Lifecycle Services. Channel partners must meet a number of prerequisites, including individual certifications: one FireJumper, one Cisco CCIE® and Cisco CCNP® Security certification. CompuNet was also required to provide references called Partner Executed Proof of Values (PoVs) that determine whether their product or technology directly addresses a defined set of business outcomes. Finally, partners must supply evidence of expertise in three of six defined security practice areas: 1) threat visibility, 2) network vulnerability assessment, 3) remediation and response, 4) secure cloud, 5) secure data center, and 6) secure IoT.
"We are very proud to be one of the elite partners in the U.S. to have obtained this prestigious level of security specialization from Cisco. Our expertise enables us to support our customers’ diverse security needs to all aspects of their network," states Gregg Pruett, Vice President of Technology at CompuNet, Inc. “As network threats become more sophisticated, this extended training has deepened our knowledge and experience to offer world-class security solutions that our customers come to expect from us.”
The Cisco® Channel Partner Program helps our partners build the sales, technical and services skills required to deliver Cisco solutions and customer business outcomes. Through the program's specializations and certifications, Cisco recognizes a partner's expertise in deploying solutions based on Cisco advanced technologies and services. Using a third-party audit process, the program validates a partner's technology skills, business practices, customer satisfaction, presales and post-sales support capabilities, and other critical factors that customers consider when choosing a trusted partner.
CompuNet has an established security practice and reputation as a trusted advisor who goes the above and beyond to protect customer data. This achievement has proven that CompuNet has the knowledge and experience, the people, processes, and network management tools, which allows Master Security partners to service very complex security environments.
